Chronicles - Week 5 - 2 Chronicles & Ezra
If 2 Chronicles was written to give hope to God's people, the place where it ends doesn't seem very hopeful: failed kings; taken away into captivity. But the story doesn't end there; it goes on. What seems like an unhappy ending is merely the closing of one chapter and the beginning of another.
God moves in the king of Persia to allow the exiles to return to their land and to rebuild their temple. It's not without its challenges, but God has preserved a remnant and continues to be faithful to his covenant with his people.
